About Crystal Mountain
Crystal Mountain is Washington State's largest ski resort and one of the genuine hidden strengths of the Pacific Northwest skiing scene, sitting on the boundary of Mount Rainier National Park with summit views of the 14,411-foot volcano that are extraordinary on clear days. Its 2,600 skiable acres receive the heavy Cascade snowfall that characterises the range — deep, dense snowpack accumulating through a long season — and the Summit House at the top of the King of the Mountain gondola is the highest restaurant in Washington. The terrain is varied and challenging, with the Throne, Green Valley, and Iceberg Ridge areas providing sustained expert skiing rarely seen outside the major western resorts, while the green and blue terrain on the lower mountain serves beginner and intermediate visitors well. Crystal's relative obscurity outside the Pacific Northwest means it operates with lower crowds than comparable resorts in Colorado.
