About Grandvalira

Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees and the entirety of the small co-principality of Andorra, a 210km ski domain at 1,710m to 2,640m linking six resort sectors across two main valleys. The appeal of skiing in Andorra has always been inseparable from its duty-free tax status — ski equipment, electronics, alcohol, and tobacco are significantly cheaper than in any neighbouring country — making the resort a natural destination for Spanish and French skiers who combine a ski trip with substantial shopping. The skiing itself is predominantly intermediate in character, with a reliable lift infrastructure and a festive atmosphere in the resort centres of Pas de la Casa and Soldeu that makes Grandvalira a particularly good-value destination for groups.
