About Kiroro

Kiroro is a hidden gem in the mountains of central Hokkaido, just 60 minutes from New Chitose Airport, yet sheltered from the main Niseko tourism trail. The resort occupies two mountains — Mount Asari and Mount Yuri — and receives extraordinary snowfall that accumulates to depths rivalling Niseko, with the added benefit of significantly smaller crowds. Kiroro suits skiers who want genuine Hokkaido powder without the bustling resort infrastructure, offering wide open bowls, excellent tree skiing, and a tranquil base village that preserves the intimate feel of a Japanese mountain retreat.
