About Revelstoke Mountain Resort

Revelstoke Mountain Resort opened in 2007 on a mountain whose 1,713-metre vertical drop is the greatest of any ski resort in North America, a figure that shapes everything about the skiing experience here — runs are long, sustained, and demanding in a way that few resorts on the continent can replicate. Its 65km of marked piste understates the experience: the resort sits inside a snowpack zone where Selkirk Mountains weather deposits an average of 15 metres of snowfall annually, producing deep, consistent powder that persists through the season. The town of Revelstoke at the base is a small, authentic BC mountain town rather than a purpose-built resort village — accommodation, restaurants, and nightlife are modest but genuine — and the resort's cat and heli-skiing operations make it a destination of pilgrimage for powder-seeking experts from around the world.
