About Schladming

Schladming is the centrepiece of the Ski Amadé alliance — one of Austria's largest ski networks — and home to the famous Planai downhill piste that has hosted the Night Race slalom, one of the most atmospheric events on the World Cup calendar, for decades. The town at 745m is a genuine working Austrian market town rather than a purpose-built resort, with a broad main street, excellent restaurants, and a local life that continues regardless of the ski season. Its four linked mountains provide 230km of varied piste, and the low transfer time from Salzburg airport makes it one of the most accessible major ski resorts in Austria.
