About Sestriere

Sestriere is one of Europe's first purpose-built ski resorts, created in 1931 by Fiat founder Giovanni Agnelli on the highest pass in the Piedmont Alps at 2,035m, and more recently the host of alpine events at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics. Part of the Via Lattea — the Milky Way — a cross-border domain stretching 400km into France to link with Montgenèvre, it combines a high-altitude snow advantage with direct access to one of the most extensive ski areas in southern Europe.
