About Telluride

Telluride is one of the most scenically dramatic ski resorts in North America, a former silver-mining boomtown at 8,750 feet in a box canyon of the Colorado San Juan Mountains, accessible only by a single road or the free 13-minute gondola that connects the historic town to the purpose-built Mountain Village above. Its 2,000 skiable acres include some of the steepest inbounds terrain in Colorado on the front face, while the backside Prospect Bowl and Revelation Bowl provide miles of intermediate and powder terrain with sweeping views toward Utah. The town's immaculately preserved Victorian architecture, acclaimed restaurant scene, and summer festival calendar give Telluride a cultural depth rare in ski towns, though its remote location and correspondingly high costs limit its accessibility.
