About Avoriaz

Avoriaz is a striking car-free village at 1,800m, its angular timber-clad architecture designed in 1966 to blend with the rock faces on which it sits, perched on a cliff edge above Morzine. As the highest and snowiest entry point to the 600km Portes du Soleil domain, and the gateway to the famous Swiss Wall — a challenging off-piste descent to Champéry — it offers excellent snow conditions alongside a progressive family-friendly environment anchored by the Village des Enfants children's area.
