About Courmayeur

Courmayeur is the Italian sister resort to Chamonix, sitting below the southern face of Mont Blanc at 1,224m in the Aosta Valley, connected to Chamonix by the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car and accessible via the Mont Blanc Tunnel. Smaller and more intimate than its famous French neighbour at 100km of piste, it compensates with a warmly Italian atmosphere of excellent mountain restaurants, a beautiful medieval town centre, and predominantly north-east facing terrain that preserves snow conditions in the Aosta valley sunshine.
