About Zinal

Zinal is one of Switzerland's most authentic and least commercialised ski resorts, a traditional high-valley village at 1,670m in the Val d'Anniviers beneath a ring of 4,000m peaks that includes the Weisshorn, Zinalrothorn, and Obergabelhorn. The 60km ski area is modest but well-maintained and ski-in/ski-out from the village, and the resort shares a lift pass with four neighbouring valley resorts including Grimentz and Saint-Luc. The payoff for the 150-minute transfer from Geneva — across mountain passes with occasional road closures — is skiing in a genuinely unspoiled Swiss mountain community where the ratio of locals to tourists remains unusual for a European ski resort.
