About Banff Sunshine

Banff Sunshine Village sits on a high alpine plateau straddling the Continental Divide in Banff National Park, receiving an average of 9 metres of snowfall per season — one of the highest natural snow records of any resort in North America — which, combined with its high elevation and the cold, dry air of the Canadian Rockies, produces powder conditions that persist for days after a snowfall. The resort is snowcat-accessed from the gondola base, keeping it entirely ski-in/ski-out once guests arrive at the Village, and its 12 lifts serve 136km of varied terrain with a good balance of beginner, intermediate, and expert runs. The surrounding landscape of Banff National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — provides a mountain backdrop of extraordinary beauty that elevates a day's skiing here into an experience that goes well beyond the runs themselves.
