About Lake Louise

Lake Louise Ski Resort rises above the valley of the same name in Banff National Park, offering 4,200 acres of skiing across four distinct mountain faces with views of the turquoise glacial lake, the Victoria Glacier, and the hotel château that is one of the most photographed buildings in Canada. Its terrain leans toward intermediate and advanced with long, sustained groomers on the front face and challenging bowls and glades on the back, while the resort's position as one of the first to open in Canada — often from late October — and its high natural snowfall make it a consistent early-season choice. The 115-minute drive from Calgary International follows the Trans-Canada Highway through some of the most spectacular mountain scenery on the continent, making the journey itself part of the destination experience.
