About Breckenridge

Breckenridge is the most visited ski resort in the United States and one of the highest, with a base elevation of 9,600 feet and a summit at 12,840 feet that includes above-treeline bowl skiing at an altitude that can challenge unacclimatised visitors. Its five peaks offer a broad and well-balanced trail network — approximately 35% beginner, 31% intermediate, 34% advanced — alongside one of the most charming ski towns in Colorado, with a 12-block National Historic District of Victorian-era storefronts housing hundreds of restaurants, bars, and shops. The resort's unusually early opening date in early November and late closing in late May give Breckenridge one of the longest reliable seasons in Colorado, and its inclusion in the Ikon and Epic pass systems makes it a natural first choice for multi-resort pass holders.
