About Keystone

Keystone Resort opens earlier in the season than almost any resort in Colorado — typically in late October — and operates night skiing on its front face until 8pm most evenings, giving it a practical flexibility that suits families and weekend visitors from Denver particularly well. Its three interconnected mountains — Dercum, North Peak, and the Outback — cover 3,148 skiable acres with a mix of terrain that favours intermediates on the broad groomed runs of the front face while hiding surprisingly challenging tree skiing and bowl terrain deeper on the mountain for those willing to explore. The compact Keystone Village at the base is unpretentious and functional, and accommodation tends to run 20–30% cheaper than at Vail or Breckenridge, making it one of the strongest value propositions in Summit County.
