About Palisades Tahoe

Palisades Tahoe — formed by the 2021 merger of the historic Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows resorts — is the largest ski resort in the Lake Tahoe region and one of the most significant in American ski history, having hosted the 1960 Winter Olympics. Its combined 6,000 acres across two linked mountains include some of the most varied and challenging terrain in California: steep chutes and technical rock features at Palisades, more forgiving open bowls and tree skiing at Alpine Meadows. The resort sits above North Lake Tahoe's north shore, offering the rare combination of challenging skiing and the visual spectacle of North America's largest alpine lake visible from the upper lifts, with the casino resort towns of South Lake Tahoe and Stateline just an hour around the shoreline for après-ski entertainment.
