Its reputation rests on the steep, sustained pitches of Castlerock, the broad intermediate terrain of the main mountain, and a notably authentic Vermont atmosphere in the surrounding valley that feels genuinely independent from the larger resort developments further north. The recent capital investment programme that followed its acquisition by Alterra Mountain Company has substantially upgraded lifts and on-mountain facilities while preserving the character of the resort town of Warren below.
