About Sugarbush Resort

Sugarbush Resort in the Mad River Valley of Vermont is one of the most respected ski mountains in the eastern United States, a two-peak resort of Lincoln Peak and Mount Ellen linked by a shuttle with 2,600 skiable acres of varied terrain that has attracted serious skiers since its opening in 1958. Its reputation rests on the steep, sustained pitches of Castlerock, the broad intermediate terrain of the main mountain, and a notably authentic Vermont atmosphere in the surrounding valley that feels genuinely independent from the larger resort developments further north. The recent capital investment programme that followed its acquisition by Alterra Mountain Company has substantially upgraded lifts and on-mountain facilities while preserving the character of the resort town of Warren below. For experienced eastern skiers, Sugarbush represents one of the most complete ski experiences available on the right side of the Mississippi.
